HISTORY OF BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH
Bethlehem Baptist Church was organized on August 6th 1989 under the leadership of The Reverend Gilbert W. Stewart. Reverend Nathan Sears of First Corinthian’s Baptist church served as the moderator of this meeting. There were four members participating in the organization; namely Sisters Mary Brown, Eunice Gibson, Coraline Newton and Carolyn Stewart, Brother Josire Nimmons who was present at the organizational meeting joined along with his wife Sister Willie Mae Nimmons at the first official Church Service. From that humble beginning, Bethlehem Baptist Church services were held on the grounds of Community Chapel in Riviera Beach Florida for 13 years. After 13 years of prayer, patience and sacrifices, the dream of building a church came to reality. On December 22, 2002 Bethlehem Baptist Church was relocated to its present edifice at Purdy Lane and Haverhill Road, in West Palm Beach Florida. Pastor Stewart’s mission is to equip the Saints of God to provide expanded services to our membership and community.
